In-person exchange

Inspect face to face without relying on cash

The planned flow would keep identity, agreed product details, payment instructions, inspection, acceptance, and the handoff record connected to one deal.

Pre-launch preview — in-person exchange, payment providers, supported locations, categories, limits, and policies are not live or approved yet.

The planned protected handoff

Both people would see the same amount, item, meeting, and next action before confirming anything.

  1. Create an in-person deal

The parties choose the handoff method and accept one Product Passport, amount, and policy version.

  2. Complete identity and funding checks

Both parties complete the required verification and the buyer funds through the approved protected-payment path before the meeting.

  3. Choose a safer meeting

The parties select a date and public, monitored location and receive the applicable safety guidance.

  4. Check in with a short-lived code

A dynamic QR or six-digit code, device binding, and optional consent-based proximity signal would connect both devices to the handoff.

  5. Inspect the item

The seller presents the item and identifier while the buyer follows the category-specific checklist and records required results.

  6. Accept or report a problem

The buyer explicitly confirms the item and amount with step-up authentication, or uses the cancel, support, or dispute path.

  7. Record the authorized outcome

The system records the handoff and may send a payout instruction only after every approved condition passes; the seller cannot trigger release.

Controls that would stay visible

  • The handoff code would expire quickly and be bound to the correct deal, item, amount, users, and permitted devices.
  • Emergency cancel, support access, and a mismatch or dispute path would remain available before acceptance.
  • Location or proximity confirmation would be optional, purpose-limited, and used only with consent.
  • No seller-controlled confirmation could release money, and a code alone would not prove product condition.

PRUVILO would not provide physical security

Meet in a public, monitored place; avoid sharing a home address for high-value goods; tell a trusted contact; leave if the situation feels unsafe; and contact local emergency services when needed. A protected payment process cannot make a physical meeting risk-free.

Check the category decision first

An in-person route would be available only where the approved country and category record permits it.
