What useful evidence needs to show
A record is more useful when its scope and origin stay clear.
When and how
When it was created, whether the session was controlled and whether the source was original, derived, imported, provider-supplied or manually submitted.
Which claim
The exact characteristic or event it supports. An exterior image, for example, cannot establish that an internal function works.
Integrity and access
Whether source and integrity checks passed, and who reviewed, accessed, exported or redacted the record.
The planned evidence chain
Review would consider the total record rather than one isolated screenshot.

Different claims can need different evidence
A deal could combine levels by field; one level would not automatically apply to the whole product.
- Tier 0 — Declaration only
- Structured declarations and ordinary reference records for approved low-risk, low-value cases.
- Tier 1 — Evidence-backed
- Category-specific photos, identifiers, measurements, defect or accessory evidence and a receipt checklist.
- Tier 2 — Controlled seller capture
- A challenged in-app product and packing session with label, seal and handoff evidence.
- Tier 3 — Two-sided controlled evidence
- Tier 2 plus required unopened-package capture, continuous unboxing, receipt declaration and controlled return evidence when needed.
- Tier 4 — Independent verification
- A future approved inspector or authenticator would provide a signed, category-specific report and supporting records.
Important limits
- No photograph, video, sensor or AI score proves the full truth by itself.
- Seller-entered information must remain labelled as declared until its stated verification requirement is satisfied.
- Imported evidence must remain labelled as external and would not replace required controlled capture unless an approved integration allowed it.
- Any future protection would vary by category, country and fulfilment method, and would follow the published policy, evidence duties, deadlines, limits and exclusions for the deal.
- Before launch, published terms would also need to explain evidence access, retention, export, redaction and lawful disclosure.
